I cannot wait for the April workshop!  Join us on April 18 at 10:00 (see the tab marked Meetings for location details), when Jayne Willis will teach us Improvisational Curves and Stefanie Williams will show us her flawless machine binding technique.

Come prepared to learn and you'll leave with a TOTALLY finished placemat or mini-quilt!  We'll have a micro-meeting, so the workshop can get started right away.  This workshop will last from 10 am into the afternoon, so bring a snack or sack lunch to tide you over.

Here's what Jayne says you need to bring for the curves portion of the fun:

Curves Workshop
SUPPLIES FOR FRONT
Sewing Machine
Thread (piecing)
Rotary Cutter
Cutting Mat
Pins (straight)
Pen or Pencil (for marking)
FABRIC Strips (various width and length)

SUPPLIES FOR FINISHING
Thread (quilting)
Fabric (backing)
Batting
Binding

The only rules in this Curves Workshop...NO rulers! Your rotary cutter will be your drawing tool!

Project Size:
Mini Quilt (18” square approx.)

Placemat (13” x 18” approx.)

We will be using strips of fabric to make the curves. Solids, prints ~ whatever you would like to use. If you can, precutting strips in varying widths and length will save time. (these do not need to be straight)

Cut Strips:
1 1/2” - 4” wide
any length

Stay tuned for how to prep the binding.  Can't wait to do this project!
