Annoucing our 2018 Retreat!

We're super excited to announce that registration for our 2018 retreat is OPEN!

Our retreat is scheduled for February 16-18, 2018 at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. This is a no-frills retreat - in that it is at a state park - but we plan to have a lot of fun, including a pop-up shop graciously provided by Anna Maria Horner's shop CraftSouth!

The retreat is open to both members and non-members alike, so friends, friends-of-friends, and quilty acquaintances are all welcome! The registration fee covers the cost of sewing space only, and there are a couple of options for lodging, including a few triple occupancy cabins or double occupancy rooms at the park's inn (or feel free to book at another inn on your own or commute from home!).

There will be a kitchen available with shared refrigerator space if you want to bring snacks, drinks, and other food items. There is a restaurant on premises and more dining options within a short drive from the park. BONUS - there are a couple of CUTE shops near to or on the way, including the Dancing Bobbin in Spring Hill and Needle & Grain in Columbia (it's new and looks super cute!).

Register

Please complete the registration form entirely to save your spot. The current cost for sewing space is only $64! Be sure to choose your lodging options if you plan to stay on site. You will need to provide all your meals - or pro-tip: plan a meal schedule with some friends/roomies. After you have completed the form, please send a friends & family payment via PayPal to musiccitymodernquilters@yahoo.com in the amount of $50. This is a deposit to hold your spot. Your final payment will be due by January 1, 2018.

August Open Sew + Destash Sale!

Our August Open Sew and Destash Sale was loud and a little crazy - the fabric was flying - but definitely fun! We welcomed a few new members and guests to the group, and had a massive round of show & tell's from everyone.

Our Round Robin Groups are in their fifth round of the challenge and looking great! Marcia, Emily and Katie D. brought their latest rounds to swap. We're in the home stretch!

Emily & Vicki showed off finished quilts from our May class with Latifah Saafir. Loving how different the color schemes are, but the clams are still super glam!

Leslie showed off this gorgeous limited palette quilt that she brought to finish binding. Her spiral quilting was amazing!!
