June Charity Sew

For our charity sew, Emily planned for us to make pillowcases with drawstrings for the Safe Room in Nashville.  These pillowcases will go to foster children who can use them to hold all of their belongings instead of the typical garbage bags. What a wonderful charity to sew for!  We completed 29 pillowcases at the meeting and hope to do it again soon.

French seams were a new skill for many, but we soon mastered them and had a great time making the pillowcases.  Thanks for planning this Emily!

We also chose two colors from a box for our paint chip challenge.  The finished projects will be shown at our September meeting.

Show and tell from June:

The guild's charity Round Robin is coming along nicely! One more border should finish it off.

Round robin swaps look great so far! (Don't look Jayne)
