June 2011 - Road Trippin' to Paducah!

It's time to start looking ahead to our June event, which consists of a fun day filled with fabric, food and fellowship in Paducah, Quilt City, KY! We will carpool there and back. If you have a clean, reliable vehicle and are willing to drive, we need volunteers. Drivers will be reimbursed $150 which works out to about fifty cents per mile. This should cover fuel costs and wear & tear on your vehicle. Everyone (including drivers) should bring cash ($30-$40) to put in the transportation pot. We will divvy the funds out to the drivers before we leave.

Here is our tentative schedule for the day:
7:15 a.m. - Meet 100 Oaks (near Michael's)
7:30-10:00 - Driving to Paducah
10:00-11:30 - National Quilt Museum (admission is $10 each unless we get a group of ten or more, then admission is only $5)
11:40-12:20 - The Quilter's Alley
12:30-1:15 - Lunch @ Kirchoff's Deli & Bakery
1:30-2:30 - Quilt in a Day Shoppe
3:00-5:00 - Hancocks of Paducah
5:45-7:00 - Dinner @ Patti's 1880s Settlement
7:00-9:00 - Driving to Nashville

Complete the form below if you plan to participate. Also, be sure to download this liability waiver, read it, sign it and bring it with you on the 11th. Sign-ups will no longer be accepted after June 5, 2011.

I am so sorry that I will have to miss this trip. My step-daughter's baby shower is scheduled for the same day. It sounds like it will be a really fun and well planned trip. You guys have a great time!

I won't be able to come, prior commitment, but two warnings - I think you have to buy the $5 tix for the Museum two weeks in advance, and you'd better make reservations for Patti's - we tried to get in there at about that time on a Saturday night and there was a two hour wait!
