Happy New Year! Mark your calendars for our next meeting on January 17th at 10am.
On the agenda will be committee meetings and open sew. Not on a committee? No problem -- we don't all have time for that kind of thing. Want to join a committee? Great! Just join your group of choice when we split off. If you are a member of more than one committee, please let me know and we'll figure out what to do.
Committees thus far:
--Social Media/Communications (headed by Ashley Gomez)
--Community Service (headed by Stefanie Williams)
--Special Project -- Pieced Banner (head TBD)
We will also discuss the 2015 calendar and see what needs more attention and/or a Special Project Committee. For example, we planned two field trips, and they will need to be organized in a timely manner.
After the business and committee meetings, I will be available to help with Bionic Gear Bag sewing, if anyone is interested. If Stefanie is able to be there/stay, I'm sure she'll also be willing to help too!**
Bring your show and tell and let's discuss your sewing related resolutions for 2015. Also bring a snack or lunch for yourself if you are staying for open sew. I can't wait to see you all and get the year started!
As always, guests are welcome. Our guild includes quilters of all ages and experience levels, representing a wide range of modern styles including many flavors of modern-traditional. If you wonder whether you'll enjoy it, come find out!
**If you're new to the guild, several members have purchased the Bionic Gear Bag pattern (available on Craftsy) and are sewing together. Let's get our bags made and maybe move on to another pattern!
