Monthly Meeting - Shop Hop
Ashley organized a great Shop Hop for our group. Our day was filled with laughter, shopping, petting fabric, food, and a little Pokemon!
We started off at the Quilting Squares in Franklin. We were greeted with a demo and cookies! Our next stop was the Dancing Bobbin in Thompson Station. It was the a "first" for many of the members in the guild to visit this shop and what a great place it was! They had extra staff ready to cut fabric for all of us that swarmed the shop. Lunch was next on the agenda. We all made the drive in to Nashville to eat at ML Rose. They also had a very cool patio which is the back drop of our group photo. Near by, was Textile Fabrics. We made a quick stop here, before heading to a modern quilter's favorite shop, Craft South. Anna Maria and team greeted us with open arms, as always. The last stop on the Shop Hop was at Stitcher's Garden in Franklin. It was close to closing time so we had to make it quick. It appears as though we didn't have any thrill seekers in the group looking to break the rules, because no one sent me a photo from inside this shop.

November Meeting Recap
Our November meeting this month was HUGE! So huge, we overflowed our normal meeting space!
We got together this month and sewed NICU Smocks for Vanderbilt, and we actually had so many come in through Lindsay Conner's Craftsy Blog drive that we had over 1,000 come in, and we over flowed into Centennial and St Thomas Midtown's facilities. Our group finished a total of 96 smocks on Saturday. The guild was also mentioned in the Tennessean over the holiday!
We have these sews each year, and often more than once a year. If you'd like to help us with this great cause please send us an email, find us on Facebook or reach out to us somehow! Even if you aren't a sewer, there's plenty to do to help out with these events. Big thanks to everyone who came out to help us sew this month!
