January 2012 - Paducah Road Trip

With the holiday season upon us, life will be very hectic, so make plans NOW to participate in our January event, which consists of a fun day filled with fabric, food and fellowship in Paducah, Quilt City, KY! This event is open to guild members and guests.

If you have a clean, reliable vehicle that seats at least four adults and are willing to drive, we need volunteers. Drivers will be reimbursed for fuel costs and wear & tear on your vehicle. Everyone (including drivers) is required to contribute $35 to the transportation fund. All other expenses for the day will be responsibility of each participant.

November Meeting Reminder

Don't forget to join us for our next meeting, and the Jelly Roll 1600!...

November 12, 2011
10 a.m.
Barr Conference Room*
First Presbyterian Church - Franklin
101 Legends Club Lane
(near the intersection of Franklin Road & Mack Hatcher Parkway)

What is the Jelly Roll 1600?
See photos from another guild that did this here.

What do you need to bring?
* A Jelly Roll or 40 strips measuring - 2 1/2" x 40"
* Sewing Machine
* Basic Sewing Supplies

If you need a Jelly Roll, our awesome sponsor and co-founder, Leah from Burgundy Buttons will be forwarding a special offer to guild members who still need a jelly roll and fabric for this project, so watch your email closely for that. She will deliver your purchases to the meeting to save shipping costs, too!

After our very brief business meeting, we will get started with sewing our strips together end-to-end. We will then take a pit-stop for lunch, after that, the RACE IS ON! Since this IS a race, there will be some awesome prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers!
